What would we, as parents, do without a support system? Without someone to guide us? Without someone to inform us? Help us learn and develop our skills? Without someone to foster partnerships with our children's schools? Without objective listeners to help us maneuver the maze that is special education? In 2010, I applied to participate in PIC's free 11- week Volunteer Advocates for Special Education Training. This training was invaluable! It provided me with an opportunity to build my knowledge and skills in the special education process, connect and have meaningful conversations with other parents around New Hampshire and to support other parents of children living with disabilities. Thanks to PIC for building my self confidence as well as being an essential partner in my daughters IEP Team. Would you be willing to make a donation for PIC to continue their efforts in their belief of shared commitment? Because, when families, professionals and others work together, everyone benefits!

About this Campaign

Help PIC extend its reach by providing funds for materials and workshop development to support parents around the state.

“Programs and interventions that engage families in supporting their children’s learning at home are linked to higher student achievement."

The Parent Information Center (PIC), is a NH family organization that helps .... families each year  to achieve positive outcomes in education with a focus on those with students who have disabilities and special healthcare needs. This is achieved through its partnerships with families, educators, youth, professionals and organizations. PIC offers statewide support by providing 1:1 consultation with parents, workshops for families, youth, school staff and administrators, and by distributing information, resources and materials.

The majority of these efforts are offered at no charge and your donation to this campaign gives us the ability to reach out to more families, and more school districts to provide education, build family-school partnerships, and support families from early intervention all the way to planning for life after high school.

If you, a loved one or a friend has ever needed support or education around school-related issues, please consider a pledge to our organization.
