EWVCTC Entrepreneurial & Economic Development Fund

Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Fund Eastern WV Community and Technical College created the Institute for Rural Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in 2013 to create, support and sustain an innovation new economy in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia. Purpose: to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide a collective strategy to build institutional and community capital for entrepreneurship development. Five sector-based strategies were identified in a 2016 report titled: An Implementation Playbook for Fostering Entrepreneurship and Economic Diversification in the Potomac Highlands of WV. The sectors include: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, arts, tourism and technology. The Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Fund was created to support regional initiatives that contribute to economic diversification.
