Our Team Story

The Pauli Murray Summer Grant presented by the Pauli Murray Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International

Every donation helps.

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is dedicated to service and fraternity, traits embodied by our chapter’s namesake and legendary civil rights activist, the Reverend Dr. Pauli Murray. Pauli Murray championed the dignity of all in her work as an author, educator, lawyer, feminist, poet, and priest. Her legacy stands for the indomitable human spirit and the transformative energy of social justice.

In our namesake’s honor, the Pauli Murray Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International at CUNY Law, is raising funds for our first annual Pauli Murray Summer Grant!

Our siblings are working hard to stay connected during these times when we are physically apart. We also want to continue to grow our Chapter at CUNY Law. With your generous donation, we will be able to continue to fulfill our mission of service to the community and build the bonds of fraternalism.

Mission: Phi Alpha Delta is the world’s preeminent law fraternity because of our dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community. It is through devotion to the ideals of Integrity, Compassion, Courage, Professionalism, Service, Diversity, and Innovation that we better both our profession and our community. Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
