My 15-year-old son lives with Tourette Syndrome. This journey has been challenging, but we have found incredible support through the Tourette Association of America (TAA). Today, I am asking for your help to support this amazing organization by registering and/or donating to the Tourette National Awareness 5k.

The TAA has provided my family with a support group that has been a lifeline for us during difficult times. They have partnered with our local Children's hospital to create a FREE "tic clinic," which allowed my son to be evaluated and diagnosed promptly. Through the Tourette Association, my son has been connected with an occupational therapist and a psychiatrist who have both had a tremendous impact on improving his life.

Additionally, the local volunteer representative of the TAA has provided me with invaluable information that has empowered me to advocate for my son at his schools, with his teachers, and among his peers.

The Tourette Association is an extraordinary organization that puts its funds into its mission and community members. Please join me in supporting the TAA so that it can continue to help individuals like my son.

Thank you for your support and for considering this cause that is very close to my heart. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many families who are navigating the challenges of Tourette Syndrome.

Warm regards,

Brook

Join the TAA in-person or virtually from where you live for our Team Tourette National Awareness 5K Run/Walk!

Sunday, June 11, 2023 through Sunday, June 11, 2023

Join us for an exciting day of awareness at the Team Tourette National Awareness 5K Run/Walk! All registrants will receive a t-shirt and a bracelet. In-person participants will also receive an official bib. Whether you join us in person at Astoria Park in Queens, NY, or participate virtually by using #MilesforTourette, your support will help spread awareness of Tourette Syndrome, Tic Disorders, and co-occurring conditions. With 1 in 50 school-age children affected, we must double our efforts to build awareness and support those in need.

As America's leading source for support and information, the Tourette Association of America is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. Your donation can help further our mission and create a better world for those diagnosed, and the 50% undiagnosed.
