Hi, I'm Sookie! 💗
I'm a proud SNIPSA alum and living proof of what rescue can do. I was given a second chance, and now I'm on a mission to help more animals get theirs.
Last year, I competed in Face of the Race and was part of a record-breaking campaign. Together, an incredible 142 donors helped raise over $6,000 for SNIPSA and set the record for the most individual donors in Face of the Race history. While I didn't take home the crown, we showed just how powerful this community can be when we come together for rescue animals.
This year, I'm back and ready to make an even bigger impact. Every dollar donated helps provide medical care, shelter, transportation, and second chances for dogs and cats waiting for families of their own.
I'd be so honored to earn your vote and continue raising awareness for the rescue that changed my life. Let's break our own record and maybe, just maybe, bring home the Face of the Race title this year!

Which contestant will be our Puro Pup?
It's time to choose the dog who will represent SNIPSA at the 19th Annual 5k Race for the Rescues on September 27th! To the right, you will find the adorable faces of this year's Face of the Race entrants and have the opportunity to read their stories. Each pup is campaigning to raise funds for SNIPSA's life-saving mission. It's up to you to choose the Puro Pup you think will best represent our cause and vote via donation!
The contestant with the most donations will receive a free photoshoot, local fame, representation on Race merch, free admission to the 5k, and a ride in the pace car on Race day. They will also receive the satisfaction of knowing they made an impact on the lives of countless homeless animals in San Antonio!
