Meet Scottie – a proud SNIPSA alum with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! While we don’t know much about his early days, we do know he was rescued from a tough situation. But Scottie? He’s never looked back.
With an unshakable spirit and endless joy, Scottie reminds us that every dog deserves a second chance. He was rescued, healed, and adopted through SNIPSA’s incredible efforts—and now he’s giving back!
Scottie is fundraising to support SNIPSA’s adoption program and spay/neuter outreach for underserved areas in San Antonio. He’s on a mission to help more pets find loving homes, just like he did.

Which dog will be our 80s icon?
It's time to choose the dog who will represent SNIPSA at the 18th Annual 5k Race for the Rescues on September 27th! To the right, you will find the adorable faces of this year's Face of the Race entrants and have the opportunity to read their stories. Each pup is campaigning to raise funds for SNIPSA's life-saving mission. It's up to you to choose the 80s icon you think will best represent our cause and vote via donation!
The contestant with the most donations will receive a free photoshoot, local fame, representation on Race merch, free admission to the 5k, and a ride in the pace car on Race day. They will also receive the satisfaction of knowing they made an impact on the lives of countless homeless animals in San Antonio!
