I found Enzo in December 2022 through doggy daycare.  Owner of Kara's K9 would post pictures of the dogs she was fostering on the daycare's Facebook page.   

"Oooh that one's cute!" I told her one day, referring to a cute brown dog.

"I don't think that one would do well with your cats."  Nice thanks for that thought! 

She ended up recommending Enzo to me. Sweet. Chill. I applied, and then Hannah and I met Enzo at an adoption event at La Cantera. Nobody else was interested in him. They were all ga-ga over the puppies. We liked the idea of a well behaved, sweet, already-been-fixed-and-potty-trained cutie-pie!  We took him home and it was a very Merry Christmas for all of us!  

Enzo goes with us almost everywhere. When he sees us packing up, he happily wags his tail and waits by the garage, hoping he gets to go too. He loves to play keep-away and would do great on a football team - he is hard to catch!  When we play inside, our favorite game is hide-and-go-seek - Enzo waits in his cage until we call him to come find us. 

SNIPSA's adoption price was higher than other places, but once I got to know the organization, I realized that it's a great price, and we got a great dog.  The dogs are not kept in cages all day, waiting for adoption. They are cared for in homes like my own, and at places like Kara's K9 doggy daycare. They're fixed and come with all of their shots. SNIPSA rescues strays, controls the population by spaying and neutering, then loves on the animals until they are adopted. I hope you will support this worthy cause - helping to control the stray population in the San Antonio area.
