On November 1, hard-working Americans face another crisis—one Republicans created and we Democrats get to clean up. Shocker.

We’ve paid our taxes, played by the rules, done everything right. And now we’re doing what we always do: stepping up to feed families who are struggling because apparently basic human decency is a partisan issue.

Meanwhile, Trump’s using YOUR tax dollars—money that could ensure parents can feed their kids—to build a ballroom for his rich buddies. Because when families are choosing between food and rent, clearly the priority is hosting champagne parties at the White House.

This was completely avoidable. There’s $5 billion in contingency funds sitting there, but Trump chose the ballroom. Republicans chose to gut healthcare and spike premiums. They control everything—all three branches. This is on them.

Trump is forcing us to choose between healthcare and groceries. We can’t take the bait.
So we’ll do what we always do: show up. Food bank visits are at historic highs. Families, seniors, veterans—people who’ve done everything right—can’t afford groceries.
