HELLO!! Evan E. here from THE OCDNY, Odessa Coffee Depot, NY. We are trying to open a legitimate coffee house / art gallery / performance space in our historic building on a very busy main road in Odessa, NY, in a very underserved area. We are 70% complete with renovations, but we have hit a SNAG. WE NEED A NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM in order to open. We have been losing money for two years now, seeking funding, negotiating with the NYS Health Dept., and waiting. We are seeking funding to complete this important, culturally rich, community based business. When GIMME COFFEE opened up its stores in Ithaca and Trumansburg, NY in culturally lacking areas, it spurred on numerous OTHER businesses to open and flourish, causing an economic wave that grows to this day. We are aiming to do the same by providing a place, called THE ODESSA COFFEE DEPOT to showcase and highlight local, regional, and international coffees in ONE PLACE. There are numerous UPSTATE NY COFFEE Roasters and we want to give them a central place to showcase their work as well as provide a place for people to come enjoy art, music and friends. THANK YOU.
