Everyday I am thankful that my aunt, Annabelle, is still with my family and me today. She has been cancer free for the past few years (knock on wood) and I pray that it will never return.
As she was receiving treatment, I prayed to God that she would survive this fight and that she wouldn't be in much pain. And in turn I promised Him I would donate my hair every year to show how thankful I am to even have an aunt like her. She is like a mother to me.
I also have other family members who I've lost due to various types of cancer- they will be forever in my heart. Donating my hair gives me an opportunity to honor each of them.
I think about those who have been through or is going through this process and I've always wanted to find a way to help them. So, I have a 3 in 1 shot with showing my thankfulness, honoring those I miss and love, and helping others by giving about 12 inches of my hair every year.

Participants raise money by asking friends and family to sponsor their JUST SHAVE IT head shaving, hair cutting or fundraising at the event. Kids help kids fight cancer by raise awareness and proudly sharing their JUST SHAVE IT journey before, during and after the event. JUST SHAVE IT events support Cal's Angels' mission of granting wishes, raising awareness and funding research to help kids fighting cancer.

- If you just want to fundraise and attend the event, registration is free
- T-shirts come in adult unisex sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL) and youth sizes (S, M, L).
