Girls Inc.'s focus on developing the next generation of leaders is a vision and mission I share, as I focus on developing leaders through athletics.
Sports teach us so many life skills: discipline, overcoming adversity, goal setting, communication, teamwork, and so many more. But they also provide something so critical to our personal success: community.
I support Girls Inc. of the Valley for many reasons, but mostly for the safe and inclusive community it provides to its members. Girls Inc. is truly a space for girls to be themselves and explore their futures with the support of caring adults.
Who wouldn't want to support that?!

Your support of Girls Inc. of the Valley on Giving Tuesday helps young people gain the tools, confidence, and passion to change their own lives -- and our world.
Sienna is one of many inspiring young leaders whose journey continues to be shaped by your support.
After first joining Girls Inc. as part of Eureka!, our STEM and college and career readiness program, Sienna branched out to join our Teen Advocacy Board program in order to positively impact her local community.
"What sets Girls Inc. of the Valley apart is how we're treated - as if every word matters," Sienna shared. "Girls Inc. has opened doors for me as a young advocate, building confidence and passion for social change."
Then, after a rigorous application process, Sienna was selected as 1 of 12 youths nationwide for the National Teen Advocacy Council, where she and her peers will soon present their findings to Congress in Washington, D.C.
Sienna's story is one of many examples of how your generosity directly fuels youth-led change.
