Norma Eckard
This year, I am walking in the AIDS/HIV Walk Delaware in honor of my nephew, Alfonso Ayala. This walk is not just about raising funds — it’s about showing love, support, and solidarity for those whose lives have been touched by HIV/AIDS.
My nephew inspires me with his strength, courage, and resilience. Walking in his honor is a way for me to celebrate him, to stand by his side, and to raise awareness for a cause that impacts so many families and communities.
Every step I take is a step toward hope, understanding, and compassion. With your support, we can continue to fight the stigma, raise awareness, and help ensure that care and resources are available to those who need them most.
I walk with love in my heart, and I walk for my nephew. Please consider supporting me in this journey — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or sending encouragement. Together, we can make a difference. 💜

AIDS Walk Delaware: Two Walks, One Day
When AIDS Walk Delaware started, an HIV diagnosis meant certain death. There was no treatment and little hope. Today, medical advancements and decades of fierce advocacy have transformed HIV into a manageable condition.
But our fight continues.
HIV service organizations like AIDS Delaware and the Delaware HIV Consortium and many others nationwide are facing significant public health funding cuts, threatening their ability to provide essential testing, education, and support services.
Stigma persists, access to care remains unequal, and new HIV cases continue to emerge. Without sustained funding, vulnerable communities will suffer the most.
Join us this year as we aim to raise $100,000. Every step forward matters.
Who Benefits
In addition to AIDS Delaware and the Delaware HIV Consortium, funds raised from the Walk support several other HIV service organizations, including All Saints Episcopal Church, Beautiful Gate Outreach Center, CAMP Rehoboth, Ministry of Caring, and The William J. Holloway Community Program.
