2024 Cheer & Dance College National Championships

For 5 years, the University of South Dakota Cheer & Dance Teams have been competing at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at The Walt Disney World Resort. Our National Competition is the culmination of the season for cheer and dance to showcase their skills. It’s the most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country and the perfect opportunity for the University of South Dakota to share their Game Day traditions on the National stage. Our Cheer and Dance teams are made up of 55 student athletes. For both teams to compete on the national stage we must hit our fundraising goal of $70,000. This fundraising covers registration, flights, food, and transportation for all student-athletes during the entire competition from January 10th-15th.

Throughout the year USD Cheer and Dance are on the sidelines at home & away Football games, home Men’s & Women’s Basketball games, and home Volleyball games. They practice three times a week, team lift twice a week, and attend team study hours throughout the week. In addition to practices and gamedays, USD Cheer and Dance are also at many community events throughout the year such as; Move-in Week, President’s Picnic, and Dakota Days Week. We encourage our athletes during their journey at USD to become well-rounded adults through our focus on four core values: community service, healthy lifestyle, campus events, and academic and professional development.

Contributions to the USD 2024 Cheer & Dance College National Championships will allow our student-athletes to showcase their hard work and celebrate their love for the University of South Dakota. If you choose to sponsor a specific athlete, you can specify that by making a donation on that athlete’s individual page.
