Be a part of an exciting and transforming experience as we build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in our community.
What is Faith Build?
Faith Build is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley, local churches and businesses helping homeowners achieve the indepence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
Churches and faith groups are invited to participate in Faith Build through prayer, volunteerism and financial support. We invite churches to join one of our three represented faith-based partnerships. These partnerships are:
- Spring of Life- churches are located in the Arlington Heights and Palatine area.
- New Hope- churches are located in the Elgin/Dundee/Huntley areas.
- Joyful Hands- churches are located in the Barrington area.
Why Faith Build?
Faith Build gives church members a concrete way to put their faith into action and see tangible results.
How does Faith Build work?
Faith Build is an event where teams of 10 participants will build at a Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley home. This event provides the opportunity to take proative steps in serving your community.
Participants in Faith Build will volunteer for the day at a build site. Your tasks will depend on the construction schedule of the home you are building at, some potential activities can include: framing, siding, hanging drywall, painting, and landscaping.
Each Builder commits to:
- building with their team for the entire day.
- raising money thru the peer to peer fundraising campaign, recruiting friends and family to support their work and meet their goal.
