Welcome to Day 5 of the Week of Hope!

Today's theme is Zeal, or 'love in action.' A handful of the awesome staff from Maryhurst share the story of the pandemic: the early struggles of the peak, the transition into a reopening, and what's exciting about the future. Their dedication has made a difficult situation livable for children and families who were already hurting before the struggles and anxieties of a global health event took over.

What is the Week of Hope?

For the past 30 years, Maryhurst has gathered our most passionate advocates for a once-annual Journey of Hope Luncheon. Journey of Hope brings together our amazing staff, alumni from our programs, our organizational partners, and individual supporters for an hourlong celebration of Maryhurst's vital work in the community.

When we learned that convening a large crowd would be impossible again this year, we quickly began thinking of ways to meaningfully recreate - and build upon - the inspiring program typical of Journey of Hope. Enter Maryhurst's second-annual Week of Hope: a series of client stories, staff testimonials, and other virtual moments that will roll out on this space daily from Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11.
