Anya was adopted from the Aggieland Humane Society in June 2013. I didn't plan on bringing home a pet when I went to visit that day, but she was so sweet I couldn't help it.
Over the years we have spent together, she has been my best friend and my family. She loves her brother, Ares, who was adopted from a rescue organization when we lived in Northern Virginia, and is a protective big sister. Her quirky personality always makes us laugh.
She's traveled across the country with us, gone exploring and hiking, and learned that road trips usually lead to somewhere fun. Most recently she got to attend Astros Dog Day at Minute Maid Park.
She loves to play fetch, RUN, go for long walks, and loves to cuddle even more. One of her favorite things to do is watch TV with us; she loves watching the Astros, and protecting us from the scary animals on the screen when we watch movies.
In 2013, Anya won the honor of serving as the Alpha Bark Leader in Aggieland Humane Society's Bark Leader contest. We are excited to take part in this wonderful event again.

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time as dogs all across the Brazos Valley to raise money to BTHO pet homelessness! Sign up your very own best friend for Aggieland Humane Society's Bark Leader Fundraiser!
What is the Bark Leader Fundraiser?
Bark Leader is a chance for your canine companion to help homeless pets all across the Brazos Valley. It's money raised by dogs for dogs, all while showing off their winning personality, fantastic tricks, and dashing good looks! Your friends, family, and co-workers will love donating to help your four-legged friend reach victory for a great cause.
Prizes
The three dogs that fundraise the greatest total amount will receive the winning titles of Head, Senior, & Junior Bark Leader. The dog that gets the highest number of individual donors to donate to its campaign will win the title of Fan Favorite. These four winning pups receive a photoshoot, prize basket, and the prestigious position of Spokes Dog for Aggieland Humane.
