A year ago (2014) while I was preparing for the CRC Walkathon, my cancer came back. I could only walk around with my new device I called the "rollenator". Many friends from my Friday Noon group would visit Conni and I after my treatment and bring us a meal. These visits lifted my spirits when I wasn't feeling very well. For the Walkathon, my many supporters took turns pushing me in a wheelchair. There are not enough words that I can express about how grateful I am for encouragement and support I receive from my CRC family. This organization is invaluable to the Ithaca community. Fast Forward to last week: Sep 17th: The photo is of Conni and I at the top of Whiteface Mtn in ADK. We climbed the 0.2 mile Stairway Ridge Trail. I couldn't have made this journey (or any journey in the last 2.5 years) without her. I don't think I would have even attempted the walk without her behind me or in front of me, wherever she needed to be, holding the walking stick, saving the hat, carrying water. oh yea.. especially not FALLING OFF the CLIFF..
