Amy Liss

It's been a year full of patience and resilience.  Each day our clients and their families display their patience as they work toward their maximum independence and our staff support them every step of the way.

Most of you reading this already know how important Easterseals is in my life. I started as a client there 38 years ago and continue to receive therapy services weekly to help me function as well as possible. I am proud to say I am an employee of Easterseals and as the Relationship Coordinator, I feel so blessed to be able to get to know the families we serve, hear their stories, and call them friends. I often speak about how I need a team to help me every day and I definitely wouldn’t be the person I am today without my wonderful team at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley. My therapists are the true superheroes! They are some of the best people I have ever met and are my closest friends. Their love and support help strengthen me in body, mind, and spirit. Easterseals truly does support my whole family.

My favorite superhero and nephew, Owen, attended our Lily Garden Child Development center and receives audiology services.  His baby sister, June, just started in the Lily Garden. They have the opportunity to live, learn, work, and play alongside children with and without disabilities. The daycare is right next to my office and for an aunt it doesn’t get much better than that. On Saturday, October 2nd, I will once again be participating in our 18th Annual Run for the Kids: Superhero Hustle 5K/2 mile walk (or in my case, roll) to help raise money for the organization that has done so much for me. I would love for you to join my team or sponsor me on this page. Thank you in advance for your support. With gratitude and love, Amy
