Youth Initiative for Community Empowerment (YICE) is a registered Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative founded in May 2010 by 2 Youth volunteers in Mubende district- Uganda. We build the capacity of women and youths with knowledge, skills and services in fields of small Enterprise development, food security and nutrition, youth employment, community health and hygiene, water and sanitation, sexual reproductive health and HIV/AIDs, Orphans and other Vulnerable children, vocational training and youth skills development. We mainly target women, youths, out of school girls, orphans and other vulnerable children in schools because they are the most vulnerable in our community. we engage them to form self-help clubs that bring them together and also promote sustainability of our initiatives. Currently, we have reach 125 women, 258 out of school girls and 139 OVC, and established 4 self help clubs.
