About YFU Around the Globe
YFU is comprised of a global network of over 60 partner offices and organizations that support more than 4,000 exchange students annually. Each partner organization shares a common mission and vision for the future and is fully autonomous. YFU partners embrace their interdependence and work together through the International Secretariat.
We need volunteers to help with:
Area Representatives (AR)
perform general tasks as requested by the Area Coordinator or Field Director. This key volunteer position supports one or two international students and their host families and high schools. The AR serves as an unbiased advocate for the student, and offers guidance and support to the student, family and school, through regular contact with each participant. Most YFU volunteers serve in this position.
Area Coordinators (AC)
provide leadership and supervision for other volunteers in a specific geographic area as directed by the Field Director.
