About Becoming a Pitch In Mentor!
We are currently looking to recruit volunteers for our 2018-2019 school year starting in September.
Understanding that consistency is one of the keys to successfully engaging with our students we ask for a minimum commitment of 1 school year (Oct-June) from each of our mentors. However, many of our mentors return year over year and thus have been able to stay with their mentees over multiple years.
Each class meets in the late afternoon (after school) one day a week. Ideally, mentors are able to commit to coming weekly but every other week is also an option. We can pair mentors based on their availability.
No special skills or background is required. Our mentors only need to be willing to engage and inspire our students by participating fully to become a role model by sharing their own passions, knowledge, and interests and to have fun!
Application Process
If you are interested in a mentoring opportunity, please complete the online application ( http://www.wffpitchin.org/program/mentor-application/ ) or contact our Program Manager, Alex Scheidemantel at [email protected]
