About Us

Women's Opportunity Center (WOC) is a not-for-profit organization that offers free services to advance displaced women's success in the workplace by providing employability skill training that helps women become economically and personally self-sufficient.
Vision: A future where all women are empowered to join the workforce, earn equitable compensation and attain economic security WOC assists in removing barriers to employment by providing scholarships, guidance, and referrals to other programs as needed.
WOC is committed to pursuing the mission by working providing our members access to a comprehensive program of individualized career counseling and computer and skills training to become work-ready.
Are you curious about who the Women's Opportunity serves? We serve women in various stages of transition in their lives i.e. returning to the workforce, unemployed, divorced, widowed, seeking a career change or just feeling “stuck”
Monthly and specialized workshops on life skills coaching, self-confidence building, career readiness education, time management, goal-setting, communication, resume writing and interviewing, financial literacy, continuing education, obtaining and retaining employment, health and wellness, small business training and entrepreneurship.
Computer Programs: Basic Typing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
Hands-on Retail Training at Mary Durham Boutique: trainees study retail courses in communication, business math, business management, merchandising and design, consumer trends, products and inventory, branding, business planning, policy and procedures, presentation, marketing, and delivering exceptional customer service, Quick books POS System, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite.
All trainees will have the opportunity to complete shifts as a sales associate under the supervision of the retail training coordinator.
By shopping, volunteering, or donating clothing to the Mary Durham Boutique, you are keeping our community green while also supporting individuals to become more self-sufficient.
We accept donations anytime we are open, so Tues.-Sat. 11 am-6 pm. We accept all gently used women's clothing or accessories. Donation Receipts are optional and can be found at

All proceeds from the boutique help to support the Women’s Opportunity Center’s clients and programs.
