About Animal Enclosure Volunteer
Animals housed on site at our facilities deserve the finest habitats in which to thrive. Projects related to the care and improvement of both WRR physical locations is directly related to our success in meeting our mission.
Animal Enclosure Volunteers are essential to maintaining our standards. Most activities are more project-based than shift-based and include painting, building and repairing animals housing, clearing brush, cleaning and maintenance of WRR facilities, minor plumbing, and electrical work. Tasks involve learning about habitat needs of wildlife as well as on-the-job training in habitat construction skills. Many large-scale projects are scheduled for Fall after baby season and in preparation for colder temperatures.
