About Helping Out at the Animal Shelter

West Point Clay County Animal Shelter is always in need of volunteers to serve at our Animal Shelter helping us with our animals at the shelter. Volunteers may socialize the animals (walk the dogs and play with the cats) as well as help with our other everyday tasks including landscaping work around the shelter which includes mowing grass, pruning the crape myrtles, blowing off the parking lot, etc. .

Volunteers are welcome to volunteer during our normal business hours as listed below:
Tuesdays - Fridays: 9:00 AM. - 3:00 PM &
Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Application Process

Volunteers must be 18 years or older, complete a volunteer application which can be found under our documents on our profile page here: (https://www.givegab.com/nonprofits/west-point-clay-county-animal-shelter/docs) and provide your photo ID.

Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and will only be able to socialize our puppies and kittens that are in the shelter.

Family-Friendly

Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
