About Capital Campaign to Build a new shelter!

Our Humane Society has been managing the dog shelter since it was built in 1968. Through the years our organization has renovated with additions to also care for cats, rabbits, pocket pets, birds and small and medium farm animals.

Our 50 year old outdated facility has leaking roofs, inadequate space for the animals and staff, no ventilation and is in a constant state of disrepair. We have one small isolation room for multiple needs and cannot separate the injured animals from the sick ones.

We are perpetually overcrowded and unable to offer the animals the space required by today's animal sheltering standards.

We truly are in desperate need of a new facility and hope to be able to re-build a bright, spacious, welcoming shelter for people and homeless pets.

If you live nearby, we invite you to stop in and see for yourself the difficult working conditions for the staff and marginal living conditions for the animals. We are doing the best we can with what we have, but there is so much more we can do with your help towards a new building.

We truly appreciate your donation in support of this campaign!
