About Wacousta Playground Construction Project

Dream Depot 2.0 construction is happening September 28 - October 2! Through the help of many community volunteers, local businesses and corporations, we are building an 11,000 square foot playground that can be enjoyed by everyone in Grand Ledge and the surrounding communities. The fundraising and actual building of the playground has and will be 100% done with volunteers from the community and with the help of Leathers & Associates. Leathers & Associates is a playground design firm based out of Ithaca, New York. They were the company that helped design and build the original Dream Depot. They specialize in projects that are funded and built by communities and have worked with thousands of communities all over the world.

This is a five-day project that includes 3, 4-hour shifts.
8:00 - 12:00, 12:30 - 5:00, 5:30 - 9:00
While we encourage people to stay for entire shifts, the shifts are flexible. We would love to sign forms for service hours!

We will provide the volunteers:
Lunch, Dinner, snacks, and water
Childcare (must be potty trained)

We need all types of people comfortable building (with or without power tools), planting, working with lawn care, using small tools, serving food, cleaning up, caring for children, and more. See more details on our SignUpGenius.
