In honor of National Volunteer Week, Volunteer Starkville is hosting a Letter Writing Campaign for Operation Gratitude beginning on Monday, April 11, 2016 through Friday, April 29th.
We are looking for volunteers (individuals and groups) to show their support for our deployed troops serving our nation to keep us safe by writing one or more letters of appreciation thanking them for serving our nation. Volunteers may also create patriotic drawings and artwork on 8.5x11 paper for deployed troops. All letters and artwork submitted to Volunteer Starkville will be mailed to Operation Gratitude to be included in care packages sent to deployed troops.
Letters and artwork may be dropped off at Volunteer Starkville’s office between Monday, April 11th and Friday, April 29th by 12:00 PM. Our office is located in Suite 21 on the 2nd floor of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership building in downtown Starkville. Please access our office via the GSDP Suites Entrance located at 101 S. Lafayette Street.
We will also have letter writing stations Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Mississippi State University’s Drill Field near the Colvard Student Union and on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM at 929 Coffee Bar on Main Street in Downtown Starkville if you would like to stop by and write your letters there.
