About Make A Difference Day

Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others – a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate! Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that traditionally takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.

This year, Volunteer Starkville and the Maroon Volunteer Center will celebrate Make a Difference Day on Friday, October 27th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at J.L. King Park, McKee Park, and Moncrief Park in Starkville, MS. Volunteers are needed to help with beautification efforts at each service site. About 20 volunteers will be needed at each location.
