About Sunshine Vinyl Fundraiser for Vivent Health

A huge part of the culture of Sunshine Vinyl is community, and the inclusion and support of the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to opening, Sunshine received a donation of records from someone whose husband, Brad, passed away in 2004 of AIDS complications. Brad was an avid collector and lover of Broadway musicals and opera. Sunshine will be honouring Brad’s memory by hosting an HIV awareness fundraiser with Vivent Health and installing a permanent “Theatre Kids” section in the store, consisting of musical soundtracks and theatre adjacent music. The Theatre Kids section will include a small “Brad’s Picks” section and proceeds from the whole section will continue to donate to Vivent Health throughout the year as Sunshine. We hope to host regular fundraisers in Brad’s memory in collaboration with Vivent Health.

Vivent Health, formerly AIDS Services of Austin, is a multi-state web of legacy HIV and AIDS service organizations. Since 2021, Vivent has been providing the best care for people living with HIV in Austin and achieving the highest viral suppression rates in the country.  Vivent Health envisions a world without AIDS and strives to ensure everyone with HIV lives a long and healthy life, which is why the services don't stop with medical care. Vivent is proud to provide the wrap-around services that improve the lives of those living with HIV, like case management, food services, dentistry, pharmacy, mental health care, and so much more- all under one roof. 

This is not a ticketed event! You do not need to purchase anything to attend!
