Establish the Natural Bridge State Park

A fundraising campaign for Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund

Help ensure that Virginia's iconic Natural Bridge remains accessible for you and your family to enjoy forever as the jewel of Virginia's state park system.

Thumb bridge 1"I view [Natural Bridge]… the most sublime of nature’s works” … “in some degree as a public trust, and would on no occasion permit the bridge to be injured, defaced or masked from public view.”   -- Thomas Jefferson

With your help, 1,500 acres encompassing one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the New World" -- Virginia's Natural Bridge -- will become the Natural Bridge State Park and continue to inspire future generations to enjoy and appreciate its natural, historic and cultural significance.

An awestruck Thomas Jefferson purchased the bridge from King George III in 1774. It remained in private ownership until 2014, when concerned citizens and the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund rescued the property from being auctioned off in parcels for development. A campaign is underway to raise the private funding necessary to complete the state park transition in the Summer of 2016.

You are invited to make history and join us in preserving this amazing internationally recognized natural landmark!
