About After-School Tutoring - Fall 2015

Attention Volunteers!
Edgewood Village, a multi-cultural, affordable housing community in East Lansing will be beginning our Fall 2015 Afterschool tutoring program.

Our tutoring program runs Mondays – Thursdays during October - December.

We are looking for volunteers with experience working with children on reading fluency, reading comprehension, math, metric system, hand-writing and writing words to express their thoughts. Volunteers whom can commit to two days a week are preferred. Two day commitments are either
Monday and Wednesday for our K-3rd graders OR on
Tuesday and Thursday for our 4-6th graders.

Innovative learning techniques are welcomed!
The daily schedule includes snacks from 4 – 4:30 and tutoring from 4:30 – 5:30.

Application Process

Please submit the volunteer application form and background check. Volunteers will attend one orientation session.
