About Edgewood Village Garden Program Volunteer

Spring Planting Day
Position Description: Volunteers needed to help residents of Edgewood Village plant initial crops/seedlings for garden season and help plant initial crops/seedlings in community donation/distribution plots.

Application Process

Qualifications: Must be friendly and able to interact with diverse groups of people. Gardening is a plus but not required. A volunteer application and background check is required. Please return the completed volunteer packet by scanning and sending documents to [email protected] or fax: (989)400-4730.

Benefits: Volunteer training is provided. This opportunity may assist in building your resume and volunteer hours most often count for college or work related requirements. Experience for anyone who is interested in community building, outreach, gardening, non-profit programming, and more.

Trainings provided: Volunteer orientation will take place from 4pm-5pm on the day of the program. Topics include: Background information, program information, basic gardening skills.
