Vermont Foodbank

About Us

We're proud to participate in the statewide day of giving on June 7th! The mission of the Vermont Foodbank is to gather and share quality food and nurture partnerships so that no one in Vermont will go hungry. Serving 153,000 Vermonters in need every year, the Foodbank distributes, harvests, and rescues millions of pounds of food each year. That food is distributed at food shelves, meal sites and schools across the state in conjunction with our 225 network partners.

We run a variety of programs meant to ensure everyone has access to healthy, accessible food year round. Through our BackPack program at local schools, we send kids in need home with backpacks full of food. We harvest food from farms across the state through our gleaning program, and distribute the produce through programs like VeggieVanGo and VT Fresh.

Volunteers are crucial to our mission, participating in sort-a-thons, volunteering at our warehouse, and helping out on exciting fundraising events like the Harpoon Point to Point bike ride.

Your donation will go a long way to making Vermont a place where no one goes hungry. Thank you.
