About WBTV-LP Volunteer Programmer

We want you, your neighbors, and all your friends to apply to be a programmer for WBTV-LP’s first schedule (to launch this summer).
We are seeking local media makers, podcasters, musicians, poets, journalists, artists, activists, comedians, storytellers, dreamers, realists, kids, adults, talkers, music lovers — basically anyone who has an idea or current project that translates well onto radio!

Applications will be open on a rolling basis, but we have EXTENDED the deadline to June 8, 2016 for the first batch to be reviewed and approved.

If you are accepted you will be asked to take part in a four week training process (once a week for about two hours on a week night) and become one of our supporting members by donating your time or other resources to help sustain the station (details still being worked out). The training will teach you all you need to succeed on air. Training dates will roughly be late June into July. Details to be posted soon.
No radio experience necessary to apply for a show, just local great show ideas that meet our programming guidelines. All show lengths or pre-produced content is welcome and you can do a live show or submit pre-recorded content.

We are eager to represent the diverse city of Burlington, so we highly encourage people of color, various gender identities, sexualities, nationalities, ages, and income-levels to apply for a show.

Please pass the word to everyone you know!
