Looking for Power! Scranton volunteers!
This month, we’re looking for volunteers from our membership to help out with the 50th Anniversary of the St. Joseph’s Center Summer Festival!
Help is needed to volunteer at the ice cream stand (the Sweet Shoppe!). We’re looking for 4 to 5 people per shift, so come to the festival, enjoy the good times, and give a little of your time to help a good cause!
St. Joe’s Festival – Sweet Shoppe volunteer
Sunday, July 31st, 2011. Shifts are from 1:00 to 5:00 or 5:00 to 9:00.
Once again on the campus at Marywood University, the Festival is just a few hundred yards up University Drive in a large lot just behind the Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness. Shuttles will be available from the marked parking lots on the campus. There will be plenty of signs to guide visitors in the right direction.

A sponsored mission of the Congregation of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Joseph’s Center strives to be a sign of hope to individuals and families who have special needs. Beginning as an orphanage back in 1888, St. Joseph’s has evolved, in response to changing needs, into a multifaceted service provider. Today, individuals diagnosed with mental retardation or a developmental delay, pregnant women, young families, couples hoping to adopt, and people who require outpatient therapy can find help at St. Joseph’s Center.
