About Social Media Intern

The Social Media & Communications Intern will work mainly with the Executive Director to monitor and manage day-to-day social media and communications marketing. The Executive Director will serve as the primary supervisor and assign tasks.

Essential Job Functions:
•Assess USH's social media outreach and make recommendations for improvement
•Develop a 1-year social media plan, including list of blog and social media posts
•Coordinate USH chapter posts, communicating with remote locations to make regular post on USH social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Blog, Linkedin and website to help them get onto the 1 year plan
•Create a plan to increase engagement on Social Media, increasing the USH audience
•Teach USH chapter directors who to interact more with twitter
•Write and send newsletter using MailChimp once every two months
•Make connections with relevant blogs, other social media users and websites who resonate with the USH mission
•Prepare templates for photo posts
•Prepare templates for email communications
