About Day of Caring 2019
The volunteer projects include landscaping, painting, cleaning, maintenance, beautification, direct client interaction and scores of other critical tasks to benefit the local organizations making a difference in our community everyday.
Please select the project you would like to register for then fill out our survey.
We encourage all teams to join us before heading out to the project site at 8:00A.M. on May 15 at Genetti's in Wilkes-Barre for our Day of Caring 2019 Kickoff Breakfast.
Projects start at 9:30am unless otherwise stated.

Application Process
Please look through our available 2019 Day of Caring volunteer opportunities below. Select the project you would like to register for. Please remember volunteers must be over the age of 18 to participate.
After you register you will receive a survey asking for your team name, team count, team leader, t-shirt count, and breakfast RSVP.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR BEST GUESS AT T-SHIRT SIZES IF YOU ARE UNSURE. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UPDATE & FINALIZE THIS INFORMATION TO MARY AT A LATER DATE.

Project: Painting, unpacking, raking and mulching (Indoor/Outdoor)

Maximum volunteers needed: 15
*Volunteers must be over 18 years of age to participate
*Casual clothing
*Volunteers can bring work gloves for this project. No other tools or supplies will be needed
*Lunch will be provided to all volunteers
ALTERNATIVE WEATHER PLANS:
In the case of inclement weather, the project will go on as scheduled
DIRECTIONS:
- Head southwest on N Pennsylvania Ave toward Beaumont St.
-Turn right onto E North St
-Turn left onto N River St
CLOSED: King's College Early Learning Center: Playground Clean Up (Indoor/Outdoor)
Project: Playground Clean Up (Indoor/Outdoor)

*Please wear casual work clothing and sneakers
*Volunteers do not need to bring tools or supplies for this project. If possible volunteers can bring rakes and brooms
*Lunch will be provided to all volunteers
ALTERNATE WEATHER PLANS:
*In the case of inclement weather, this project will still go on as scheduled as there is alternate indoor projects available
DIRECTIONS:
East of the Square on Main Street
CLOSED: Mill Memorial Library: Library Cleaning and Landscaping
Project: Assistance in pulling weeds, planting flowers, dusting bookshelves, etc. (Indoor/Outdoor)

*Volunteers must be over 18 years of age to participate
*Please wear casual work clothing
*Volunteers do not need to bring tools or supplies for this project. If possible volunteers can bring gardening tools and trash bags

DIRECTIONS:
Travel on Route 81 South to Exit 164. Follow Route 29 and take Exit 3 to Nanticoke. Stay left on the ramp and then make a left. Follow the street until you reach the first light and make a left The Mill Memorial Library is located across from the CVS. Turn right into the parking lot.
