During this season of giving, please consider United Way of Ulster County's Emergency Fund, and help eligible households with things like car repairs, house repairs, co-pays on prescription medicines, bus fare, fuel assistance, car insurance, and rental assistance. None of these things are covered by government grants, but each can ultimately result in homelessness and unemployment.

United Way's Emergency Fund is literally a lifeline for hundreds of Ulster County families who face unforeseen challenges, and living paycheck to paycheck, simply cannot afford these unplanned expenses. And with the average assistance to a family being just $300, it is one of the best investments you can make in keeping Ulster County's families stable and strong.
