About Strike Out Hunger Meal Packing Event June 23!

Help make a difference in thousands of childrens lives acoss New Jersey by signing up today to STRIKE OUT HUNGER!

Join us at GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 where you will be packing oatmeal breakfasts!

Did you know 375,000 New Jersey children are food insecure? To bring attention to this problem we will be packaging and providing 375,000 servings of healthy breakfast oatmeal to the New Jersey food banks.

It only takes $2 to feed a NJ child breakfast for a week… can you spare it?

To a child who is dealing with the stress and insecurity of not knowing how or when they will receive their next meal, a comforting bowl of oatmeal provides a bit of hope to carry them through the day.

As school comes to an end and many children who have been receiving free breakfast at school no longer have that benefit, the meals created by STRIKE OUT HUNGER will help them throughout the summer.
There are two volunteer shifts:

8:15AM - 11:00AM
11:15AM-2:00PM

* Both shifts include a t-shirt, boxed lunch and access to the Grounds for the rest of the day.
