About The Parent-Child Home Program - Early Childhood Literacy
The Parent-Child Home Program is an evidence-based early childhood home visitation program which provides services to children who reside in Middlesex County, NJ and who are deemed at-risk of educational disadvantage. Home Visitors bring books and toys to the children and model to parents appropriate verbal interaction techniques. The target age group is 16 months to 3 years-old.
The United Way of Central Jersey seeks candidates to serve as AmeriCorps Members in the Parent-Child Home Program. AmeriCorps Members will serve as Home Visitors in a full-time capacity (35 hours/week). Benefits include a $12,100 Living Allowance, as well as a $5,645 Education Award upon successful completion of one year of service. Additional benefits include Child Care Assistance and basic Health Care.
Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
