About UCA Library Chaperone (Fall Semester)

Like to read? Enjoy sharing books with kids or introducing them to new things? Are you a fan of the Hattiesburg Library? Then this opportunity is for you!

Every two weeks this Fall, the UCA English Language Arts teacher will take our students to the Hattiesburg Public Library on Thursday afternoons. This gives our students the opportunity to check out new books, do research, and enjoy a new reading spot. We would love to have a Library Chaperone (or two!) that could join us during our 9 trips to the public library this fall!

This volunteer would meet us at the school on Thursdays at 1:00pm, help transport a few students to the Library, and work with our ELA teacher to chaperone and support students during their library visits. All would return to the school by 3:00pm.

There are 9 scheduled trips to the public library this Fall. You could sign up for all or take turns with a friend.
