“Student volunteers are needed for the upcoming See, Test and Treat multi-cancer screening event to be held at the UMMC Cancer Institute in the Jackson Medical Mall on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Please sign up for Friday volunteer training session in GiveGab for May 31st as well
https://www.givegab.com/centers/ummc/opportunities/see-test-treat-volunteer-training-friday-may-31-4-30-6-30pm Medically-underserved women in the Jackson metro area will have appointments for breast, cervical and/or oral cancer screenings and will receive same-day, face-to-face results. They will also receive a healthy meal and health information while they wait for their results. In order to eliminate barriers to screening, we will provide on-site child care as needed.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles from 7:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Volunteers will be assigned specific roles, such as participant intake, escorting participants to and from screening stations, collection of evaluation data, and other tasks to ensure the overall success of the event. All volunteers are asked to participate in a walk-through training & orientation session on Friday, May 31st at 4:30 p.m. at the Jackson Medical Mall.

Registered volunteers will receive a free on-site meal and a T-shirt.
