About 12k's for the Holidays
The 12k's for the Holidays is Good Sam's largest fundraiser, which benefits our Christmas program. The event is a 12k race right through the heart of Fondren and a 1 mile fun run with Santa for kids. There's lots of food, drinks, music, and it's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
Family-Friendly
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
We need volunteers to help with:
Preparation at the Good Samaritian Center
November 15, 2017 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Help stuff race packets for the event. All are welcome, and the more help the quicker we get done.
Who volunteered?
Packet Pickup at the Good Samaritian Center
November 17, 2017 10:00am – 6:00pm
Packet Pickup- assist with passing out runners packets, t-shirts, and race numbers throughout the day. Time slots are 10:00 am-12:00 pm, 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm, 4:00pm-6:00pm then help with packing up.
Who volunteered?
12k's for the Holiday at the Greenspace in Fondren
November 18, 2017 6:00am – 6:00pm
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks throughout the morning between 6:00 am and 10:30 am.
***30 Race Marshals- cheer on runners on the course and help direct traffic, must be 18 or older. There will be a costume contest for Race Marshals, and the person with the best costume will win a 12k shirt, ornament and hat! ****
Other volunteers needed are: Registration volunteers, calling door prizes, working in the kid’s area, helping serve food, and helping break down.
