Now is your chance to put the finishing touches on the Ulysses Philomathic Library's LATEST bright idea -- installing solar panels on our roof.
Not only is this good for the environment, it also will help us reduce our energy costs as the panels help power our library operations. The panels were installed by a local firm, Taitem Engineering, in February, and they have produced more than $700 worth of energy since they went operational.
All that remains is for the library to finish its commitment to match the $55,313 grant we received from the New York State Education Department /NY State Library Construction grants program. Our community has responded overwhelmingly and we are now just $12,000 away from reaching our goal!
We are asking for your help in our final push to fully fund this project by making a contribution to our Light Up Your Library campaign. Thank you for considering a donation to help pay for the solar panels that will not only produce what the library needs for its electricity annually, but also allow us to pursue a more sustainable energy future!
The Ulysses Philomathic Library appreciates your support!
