About Day of Caring

Join the Twin County United Way for our 21st Annual Day of Caring on Friday, May 12!

The annual Day of Caring, sponsored by Regence BlueShield of Idaho, brings together local businesses, employees and community groups to provide a half-day of volunteer service for local nonprofits.

Day of Caring provides community volunteers with a first-hand look at services provided by local nonprofits. Our goal is to provide volunteers with meaningful, hands-on projects to assist local nonprofits while they learn more about the organization. It’s a day of service intended to promote a spirit of caring throughout the year.

Day of Caring activities begin on Friday, May 12 at 8 a.m. with a kick-off event at the Lewiston Community Center (1424 Main Street). After kick-off, volunteers head to one of many project sites in Asotin and Nez Perce counties for a half-day of service and then return to the Community Center after noon for a volunteer thank you lunch - Fazzari’s Finest Pizza!

Register a team of employees today!
A team registration form and a liability waiver/photo release (needed for each team member) are attached. Please submit all forms to [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, Apr. 21. All volunteers registered before Friday, Apr. 21 will receive a Day of Caring T-shirt. (Thank you T-shirt sponsor: ArtBeat!)
