About Welcome Week Service Excursions

The Welcome Week Service Excursions occur on Saturday, August 31 and are a great way for first-year and transfer students to explore their new community! Projects include building/cleaning furniture, working in a community garden, art and sports activities with children, and sorting donations in a warehouse. All students leave in the morning and travel on public bus to & from their service site. Mid-afternoon, after returning to campus there is an interactive dessert reception on campus.
