Ongoing Opportunities

Ongoing volunteer opportunities are consistent roles that take place throughout the year or school cycle. These opportunities matter because they allow volunteers to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff over time, creating stability, trust, and deeper impact through regular presence. Ongoing volunteers also play a vital role in supporting the Todos Juntos team by strengthening classroom capacity, increasing individualized attention for participants, and allowing staff to focus more deeply on instruction, care, and program quality.

ESL Buddy Program
Support adult ESL students with classroom activities and conversation practice.
Benefits: Provides students with one-on-one or small group English conversation practice to build confidence.
Commitment: Weekly, approximately 1 hour, or on a cadence that mutually works for the student and volunteer.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Classroom Volunteers
Support La Escuelita teachers with classroom activities, prepare materials, supervise children during transitions, and read to children.
When: Monday through Thursday during the school year
Time: Morning sessions (specific times vary by classroom needs)
Requirements: Background check required
Commitment: Consistent weekly schedule preferred to build strong relationships with children.

Classroom Support (Adult Programs)
Assist with classroom activities, English tutoring,, and help lead engaging educational exercises.
When: Primarily Tuesday Mornings
Programs Served: Adult Education
Serves: Adult students
