About Learn More About Fertility Preservation Legislation Proposed in Texas

Our Hope Scholarship Grant Program will continue to help women diagnosed with cancer in Austin make the choice to preserve her future family options before cancer makes the decision for her. When Texas State legislative session begins in 2023, we will lead a grassroots initiative to support legislation to compel insurance carries to cover fertility preservation.
The Texas Cancer Registry estimates approximately 7,676 young adults in Texas will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Without insurance many will not be able to afford to preserve their fertility as it can cost up to $20,000 for a single round of egg freezing out of pocket.
