About Lake Union Kayak Cleanup

On the 4th of July, fireworks light up the sky above Gasworks Park. Unfortunately, they don’t all disappear. Exploded firework casings drop into Lake Union from above while solo cups and beer cans are scattered below. Help TWIF collect this debris before it sinks by borrowing a kayak from the Northwest Outdoor Center or by contributing your own kayak, canoe, or SUP. A picnic pizza lunch from Tutta Bella will be available at Lake Union Park following the cleanup.
