About Volunteer to Participate in Warehouse Organizing & Clean Up in White Plains
By working at our warehouse and learning about our mission to help families in need who are living in empty apartments, volunteers get a true sense of the income and need disparity in our County, and realize what a difference free furniture can make in the lives of so many families in need.
For Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, assist with reorganizing and straightening furniture in the warehouse, tagging multi-piece items, assisting drive-up donors to unload furniture donations, testing lamps, straightening "bonus area."
This project is a part of the MLK Day of Service.
*This is a family-friendly project for youth 15 and over with an adult. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!
About Furniture Sharehouse: Furniture Sharehouse provides free furniture to economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in Westchester County, giving them the basic household furnishings that enable them to rebuild their lives and live with dignity.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service brings together hundreds of volunteers in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam for service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions.
